I am Alaska from Chile. I am an illustrator of Children’s Books and Educational Children’s books.
I illustrate stories that show the wonder of everyday life, the traditions of my country as well as those of Latin America, and that let the imagination soar. In Educational Children’s Books I work on topics that include science, geography, and cultural diversity. I take great care to create illustrations with faithful cultural representations; as a person who belongs to an Indigenous ethnic group, I research deeply to ensure that no important details are left out.

My illustration style is inspired by traditional acrylic painting, so I simulate brushstrokes and details of colored pencils in my digital illustrations. Beyond techniques, I find inspiration in my favorite moments, like saying goodnight to my loved ones, watching my kitten sleep, learning something new, and living through funny anecdotes.

Through my work, I want both children and adults to identify with and connect to the story and its characters.
